Our Poconos Chalet Weekend Away

With winter slowly creeping away, we finally made our way up to the Poconos for a weekend getaway. On our way to our chalet we stopped at Barley Creek Brewery for dinner + drinks. Barley Creek has always been our go to spot to refuel after a day of snowboarding at Camelback. The cozy vibe, food + beer is exactly what you need after a long day on the slopes.

We drove through the mountains to our Poconos Modern AirBNB chalet located in the Arrowhead Lake Community in the Poconos. The chalet couldn’t have been more perfect for a weekend in the mountains. I immediately fell in love right when I walked in. From the high vaulted ceilings to cozy fireplace + a stunner of a master bedroom with the bathtub of my dreams.

It is a great place for all different types of trips. From a couples trip to a girls weekend or a friends ski trip. It is perfect for families with kids because it has bunk beds, an adorable nook upstairs with toys + a large screen projector for watching Encanto movie theater style.

It is always the little things for me when I stay at AirBNBs + nothing makes me happier than seeing a pair of robes + SLIPPERS. There was coffee for a morning brew, books to read + a guide book with recommendations for things to do around the chalet.

Saturday morning we suited up + headed to Montage Mountain for a day on the slopes. We decided to take the 45 minute drive + head to a mountain we have never been before. It was much less crowded from what I am used to at Camelback. The trails were good, the lodge was cool + there was a fun fire pit area outside with music + food. We got plenty of runs in, but unfortunately the last run of the day Mike hit some ice + is now currently in a sling. Note to self: it’s always better to walk than attempt a last run.

Our exploring was cut short, but I am looking forward to going back to the chalet during the summer season to enjoy the lake, outdoors + neighboring towns.
